C.R.A.F.T 67 - Colour Challenge

Before I get into our theme for this week, I'd like to just give a warm welcome to our new Design Team Members. You've already been introduced so I would just ask that you give them a very warm welcome - they're a canny bunch!

This week, we have a lovely colour challenge (we know how much you like those...!)

As my parting gift to C.R.A.F.T, I have left a few of my colour swatches for their use for you in future challenges and this one is called 'Ada's Slave'.

 'Ada's Slave' Pallette

I make up these 'swatches' with colours I blend myself.
I'm also leaving my toning papers for your use, if you wish so to do.  Enjoy!

Ada's Paisley

Ada's Hearts

Ada's Jacquard

Ada's Swirls

Ada's 'Tartan'

To 'snag' any of these images, just click on them to enlarge then right-click and 'save image as' and save it to your pc. (you'll need to remember where you put them!)

(The only thing I would ask is that, as a courtesy, you mention 'Eiglas 'Ada's Slave' ' if and when you publish them anywhere.)

I love this pallette - it's so gentle and perfect for baby papers or romantic projects. I hope you enjoy it too!

As an added incentive, I'm giving away a further lickle prize to the winner of the challenge ONLY IF THEY USE MY PAPERS!

The winner gets to choose any single digi stamp from my collection at 'Stitchy Bear Stamps'.
My stamps are a high-end resolution of 300dpi min and the set includes a png and a tif file as well as the jpg we all know and love.

Our lovely sponsor this week is 'Sew Many Cards And Digital Stamps' who are kindly offering a lovely prize for the lucky winning entry.

The team, as always, have come up with some lovely, inspiring projects, and I trust you'll be coming up with some lovely projects to inspire US!

Our new DT members have really arrived in a blaze of glory with some wonderful projects!

Blogger has been very naughty again and lost this entire finished update, although it was savedsuccessfully, according to blogger. Please come back later to see the rest of the team's projects and bear with me as I try to remember what I originally wrote although it is now nearly three o'clock in the morning.

We look forward to seeing your projects next week and though this is my last week on the team, I will be back!  Thank you to Jo and the team for letting me have so much fun on C.R.A.F.T and I know you'll manage jjust fine without me (...as long as you have another insomniac on the team that is...!).

Take care and have fun!
Eiglas and the C.R.A.F.T  Team!

And here is Annette!

Just one more to introduce, Annette. Here is what she had to say:

Hello Fellow Crafters! My name is Annette. I’m a proud mother of 2 lovely young ladies, a handsome & intelligent son, and “Lola” to 2 adorable, charming granddaughters.

I love art in all forms – painting, drawing, crafting, etcetera… I started scrapbooking about 8 years ago, card making about 2 years ago. I very quickly got hooked! I began participating in challenges, and launched my blog just this past January.

As for my design style, I love to build up my own backgrounds & create my own designer paper. I often create my own embellishments too, especially flowers, which is my favourite! My creative passion for the moment is anything vintage shabby chic. Aside from my love of card making, I also love to create 3-D and altered projects.

I am so thrilled to join the talented C.R.A.F.T. Challenge Design Team. I look forward to creating, learning & sharing techniques, and ideas. But moreover, having fun while making new friends!

“Art is not so much expressing oneself, as it is discovering oneself.” - Anawanitia

Keep creating!

Annette

Welcome to the team, Annette, we look forward to working with you!

It has now become my passion,
I have a lovely wife Heather who is very supportive and encourages me and we have 4 beautiful cats.
I was recently talent spotted in the Docraft creativity Mag.
I've only recently started blogging but am enjoying it.
I'm very pleased to be part of the C.R.AF.T team and im looking forward to getting to know everyone

And here is Sharon!

It's time to introduce Sharon. This is what she has to say.

I'm a Mum to two gorgeous little boys and work part-time as a scientist, but in the evenings crafting takes over!! I'm addicted stamps, Promarkers and anything that glitters. I mostly make cards, but also enjoy scrapbooking about my family. This is my first DT spot, I'm so excited to be part of C.R.A.F.T.

Welcome to our team Sharon, we look forward to working with you!

Another new member to introduce, here is Jacky!

Next it's time to introduce Jacky. She will be joining us from challenge 68.

This is what she has to say about herself.

Hi! I'm Jacky, I live on the Hampshire / Surrey border with my husband and 11 year old son. Also at home are; Rupert my one eared lop rabbit and a mad guinea pig called Yogi! I have been crafting in one form or another ever since I was a child with varying degrees of success - please don't mention knitting to me! I enjoyed doing cross stitch for many years but found it a little slow. Then I started to dabble in scrapbooking & moved on to making ATC's. However, since I discovered card making challenges last year, they have become my main addiction, along with stash shopping!! My blogging name is Paddington Fan so I think you can guess that I am a big kid and love bears and vintage kids TV programmes!!

It does seem a bit funny writing about myself

Looking forward to joining you all

Love Jacky

P.S. I have been going around grinning like a Cheshire Cat ever since I read my email !!!!

Hi there Jacky, welcome to the team, we look forward to working with you!

Further introductions, here is Kathie!

So, it's time to announce the next new team member. We are just introducing them in no particular order, just when there introductions come through to us.

Here is what Kathie has to say:

Greetings All!

How fabulous to have been chosen to be part of the Design Team.

Here’s a little bit about me. I live in Ontario Canada. So nice to see Canucks on the team! I have always been an artsy type person and just recently decided to jump into cardmaking, blogging and the world of copic markers.

I have a supportive workaholic husband and 2 amazingly good kids. It’s been a wonderful journey so far and exciting to be able to speak with people all over the world to share ideas and inspirations.

Hugs, Kathie

Welcome Kathie, looking forward to working with you as well.

Our DT call is now closed!

Just to let you know that our DT is now closed and we will be mulling over the lovely entries we have received. We will try to come to a decision over the next few days.

Love,

Jo and the CRAFT team.

C.R.A.F.T 66 - Man's Best Friend

My favourite subject!
Dogs are my very favourite animal - well ahead of human beings and only just ahead of horses.
I love them all, so I'm chuffed we at C.R.A.F.T have a week dedicated to our lovely, cuddly, faithful, loving beautiful, noble canine companions.

So we want to see your very best efforts this week - our canine friends deserve that, at the very least.

With this in mind, our sponsor Lauretta's Digital Stamps have, very appropriately, provided us with two lovely lickle dogs with which we can, if we choose, make our demo cards and that's what we've done (...I've chosen the Scottie-dog..!)!

Our somewhat denuded (...but supertalented ...) team have brought you these projects to inspire you and I think they're fab, don't you?

Christa (Guest Designer)

We have, as you know, said goodbye to some of our team already and some more will be gone next week but the good news is, we've been inundated with applications from some very talented and lovely crafters who wish to join our friendly team (...well, who wouldn't...? LOL!) so in a few hours, the die will have been cast....and so will the starring roles in our team!  I can't wait to see who comes through and what they make - it'll be like opening a window on a Spring morning... (...I know, I do go on...! LOL!)!
The DT call closes at 6:00am GMT 02/09/2010

For myself, after next week's challenge (09/09/10) I will be 'lurking' in the shadows (...ya don't escape Eiglas that easily...!) and will pop back now and then to guest and sponsor  - I mean they just can't cope without me y'know....! LOL! (...oh, not much...!).

We can't wait to see your projects!
Hugs
The C.R.A.F.T Team!
