C.R.A.F.T 57 - Inspirational photo - Purple and Green with Gems

Before we get into this week's challenge, I have some sad news. Magda, one of our lovely team and a very gifted crafter, has had to stand down due to personal and work commitments. She has sent a lovely and very moving e-mail and is sad to be unable to remain with C.R.A.F.T but will pop in when she can to see what we're up to! We wish Magda the very best of luck and love in her new life and hope it isn't too long before we see her lovely creations again! Bye Bye Magda, we'll miss you Hunni!

Now for the business in hand! This week we have an 'inspirational photograph' for you to use for a muse!

Don't you just LOVE those delicious colours?
Purple and green (....not lilac and lime - that was last week...!) and lovely gems.....
Well, that's what we want from you this week. I think there's an almost Medieval feel to this colour pallette so let's see dragons and damsels if you have them. If not well, everything purple & green encrusted with gems is good! If you see some other related colours in there - that's fine, but please try to keep it predominantly Green & Purple!

Talking of gems - look at this fab prize we have on offer this week!

I think that's a fab prize and will replace all those gems you've used! LOL!
So no excuses - get your entries in and see if you can nab it!

Our team have had their thinking caps on and have come up with further inspiration for you!

Eileen (me!)

Look forward to seeing those fab projects!

C.R.A.F.T 56 - Black, Lime and Lilac

We do love our recipes and colour challenges on C.R.A.F.T ! And this week it's a colour-challenge Black, Lime Green and Lilac.

Please can I request you get as close to LIME and LILAC as you can? Bottle and emerald just won't do folks, neither will purple or mauve! I know I'm a slave-driver, but what's the point of a challenge if we don't make it at least a little challenging.....!

I can give you the Copics codes for them, if you'd like them - G21 -Lime Green and V04 - Lilac but any approximation to these is absolutely fine - don't want to be too strict do we? LOL!

We welcome Sassy Studio Designs as our sponsors this week........this is what Lynsey has to say about her company
Sassy Studio Designs is a fresh new company. We have been designing and selling for less than a year, and we have been kindly received into the community of digi stampers and crafters. I started designing images shortly after I started stamping, reason being...I didn't hardly like anything else out there I was a young adult woman at the time I was engaged, had no kids, I wanted fun sexy images that I would enjoy using and my friends and hubby would enjoy receiving. I designed images for 2 other digi stamp companies when my wonderful hubby kept trying to get me to go out on my own. So in June 2009 thanks to the few faithful followers I had, Sassy Studio Designs was born! It has been a wonderful journey starting my own store. We have just grown so much these past months.I still try to keep with my original philosophy and reason for designing stamps, make them fun and keep them sassy...and yes sometimes even sexy!

C.R.A.F.T 55 - Sketch

It's sketch time again! Here at C.R.A.F.T we like to make you work for your prizes so, they've let me loose with my sketchpad again.......! You all did so well last time, we reckon you've had a practice and should be totally awesome this time!

To make this whole thing even better, our sponsor this week is none other than the lovely HopeJacare, whose wonderful doodles are just ideal for any kind of cardmaking or scrapbooking. You really want to try them folks - I've got quite a few of them now because they make my projects look so good! My demo card for this week is using one of them.

Our Design Team have, once again, outdone themselves! Well - check them out!

What a fab collection of talent! Love what they all did with my sketch! Look forward to seeing what you all come up with - you're getting better every week!

C.R.A.F.T 54 - Father's Day/Men's Cards

Can I just say, before we move on to the new challenge, what a wonderful collection of really lovely projects you lot came up with last week for the 'Newsprint' challenge! Really impressive!

Despite a couple of slight misunderstandings about what 'newsprint' is (and I apologize if it's my style of writing that obfuscates the requirements - I know I drone on sometimes...! LOL!), we had some amazing entries using a variety of newsprints including Egyptian, Chinese and Japanese would you believe! And projects from heart-shaped boxes (...very hard to make!) to picture-frames and flowers! And didn't it go well with the distressing and vintage styles?
I thought it was great!

On to this week's challenge 54 - Father's Day /Men's Cards

Well folks, most of us have got 'em, some of us have lost 'em, and some of us just wish we had!
But on the whole,
most of us love 'em! That'll be our Dads then, won't it?

So we are having a 'Father's Day' challenge (...quelle surprise...) for you to express your feelings for that man who gave you life - or vent your speen, whichever takes your fancy!

Me? I really liked my Dad. I loved him, but, I actually LIKED the little guy too! And the two don't always go hand in hand, as with any other family member...!

Although I loved and liked my lickle Dad he's, sadly, no longer here for me to give a card to so I've made one for my hubby's Dad instead. It's not my usual style of card because I've tailored it to suit the man who's in his eighties and likes tigers!

Of course, like me, not everyone still has a Dad to make for and not everyone has a Father-in-Law to practice on either, so we're accepting cards made for 'Men' too (...NOT little boys please - we're aiming for adults this week, so older teens/20's would be okay too.)

The rest of our lovely team have been equally inspired in their own ways too and have come up with a wonderful mix of inspiration for you this week!

If that's not enough - have a look at these!

Our regular sponsor Donna's Den, is offering these lovely embellishments to the lucky winning entry!

We're also, this week, so very happy to have our lovely team-mate Julie back in the harness - we've missed her beautiful work and her lovely sunny self so much. Welcome back Jools!

Here are the team's wonderful creations for this week!

I hope you enjoy making a card for the man in your life, whether it's your Dad, Husband, Son, Brother, Partner, boyfriend or kissin' cousin! It' always said it's hard to make a male card but really, I don't think it is that hard these days because there are so many lovely papers and images out there now.

As ever, we look forward with anticipation to your lovely entries and you never, ever disappoint us!
Hugs,
The C.R.A.F.T Team
